　　Nowadays childrenare spending far too much time and money on computer games. As a result, somepeople even suggest that video games should be done away with. They are nothingbut a great waste of time, money and energy. I totally agree with them.

　　如今孩子们花过多的金钱和时间在电脑游戏上。结果，一些人甚至建议说电子游戏应该废除。它们只不过是大量消耗时间、金钱和精力的东西。我完全同意他们的说法。

　　First of all, toomuch indulgence in the computer games may lead to the deterioration ofchildren’s physical health. Children desert the football ground as they all sitat home around the computers playing the football game. So they can’t bephysically fit and strong. Moreover, facing the computer for a long time, childreneasily suffer from myopia.

　　首先，过多沉溺于电脑游戏会导致孩子们身体健康状况的下降。孩子们全都呆在家里，坐在电脑旁边，玩足球游戏，而荒废了足球场。所以他们不会身体强健。而且，长时间对着电脑，孩子们很容易近视。

　　Secondly,computer games distract children’s attention from their studies. They finishtheir homework in a hurry, or even copy their classmate’s, in order to squeezetime to play games.

　　Playing too much computer games has bad impacts in many ways. For one thing, if students often play computer games, they cant do well in their study, because they always think about the things in computer games instead of the knowledge in books. For another, Sitting before the computer for a long time will cause back pains and headaches. And the radiation from the computers can also do harm to our eyes and our minds. Whats more, many students are so deeply attracted by some interesting computer games that they communicate less with their families and friends, which will lead to mental problems. Last but not least, some students prefer the fighting games. It is likely that theyll be violent in the real life. That is to say, those who usually play violent games may do crimes more easily. Therefore, the teachers and parents should work together to stop the kids from playing computer games all around the clock.

　　玩太多的电脑游戏在有多方面都造成了不良影响.一方面,如果学生经常玩电脑游戏,他们就无法好好学习,因为他们总是想着电脑游戏里面的东西而不是书本的知识.另一方面,长期坐在电脑前会导致背痛,头痛.而且电脑辐射也可能会伤害到我们的眼睛和大脑.更重要的是,许多学生都深深被一些有趣的电脑游戏吸引了,以至于他们与他们家人和朋友的交流变少,这将导致心理问题.最后但并非最不重要的.,有些学生喜欢玩暴力游戏.他们很有可能会在现实生活中变得暴力.也就是说,那些经常玩暴力游戏的人会更容易犯罪.因此,教师和家长应该一起合作来阻止孩子们整天整夜的玩电脑游戏.

　　Computers are affordable foralmost all people nowadays. As a result, an increasing number of collegestudents take computers to their dormitory to browse website, watch movies andplay video games and so on. This phenomenon has caused lots of public concern.Some people believe that computer does bad to students’ health for collegestudents spend more than five hours staring at computer without break every day.However, for other people, they are positive to students’ owing computersbecause students can search for the newest information. Standing on my point,I’m more tending to the first opinion. Reasons are as the following:

　　如今几乎所有人都可以买得起电脑。因此，越来越多的大学生带电脑到宿舍浏览网页，看电影和玩视频游戏等。这一现象引起了公众的担忧。因为大学生总是每天盯着电脑不休息超过五个小时，所以有些人认为电脑对学生的健康是有坏处。然而，对于其他人来说，他们支持学生带电脑，因为学生可以搜索到最新的信息。在我看来，我更倾向于第一个观点。原因如下：

　　Firstly, computers will transferstudents’ attention. If students take computers on campus, they would spendmuch time on computer than on study. For instance, lots of my classmatesusually play computer for amusement once class is dismissed instead of going tothe library to read more books to enlarge their knowledge circle.

　　首先，电脑会转移学生的注意力。如果学生带电脑去学校，他们花在电脑上的时间会比学习上的要多。比如，没有课的'时候我很多同学通常都上网娱乐而不是去图书馆看书，来扩大他们的知识。

　　Secondly, students spend lots oftime on computers which hurts their health. It is quite often seen that studentsstay in dormitory for almost a whole day without any breaks playing computers.It is all known that computers have radiation which hurts eyes and skin.

　　其次，学生花太多时间在电脑上，这样会损害自己的健康。经常可以看到学生们在宿舍里玩电脑玩了一整天而不用休息。总所周知，电脑室有辐射的，这会伤害到眼睛和皮肤。

　　To be honest,students can use computer to search for the updated information that they want.But for the reasons above, I firmly believe that students shouldn’t bringcomputers to college.

　　说实话，学生可以利用电脑来搜索他们想要的新信息。但是基于上述理由，我坚决认为学生不应该拿电脑到学校来。
