自荐信要求
1、求真务实。写自荐信务必本着实事求是的态度，切不可弄虚作假。有些毕业生为了增加自己在人才市场的竞争力，弄虚作假，自欺欺人，涂改自己的学习成绩，夸大自己的特长，在是否当学生干部一栏自封几个头衔，在奖惩一栏凭空捏造几项荣誉，这些错误思想和做法都很不足取。
推荐信顾名思义，主要是作为推荐之用，主要为了说明被推荐人的优秀以及推荐原因，所以要在推荐信中概括被推荐人的在校表现及先进事迹或者奖励经历等内容，比如“在校表现良好，尊敬师长，团结同学，曾获得XXX奖”等等，但是要注意的是，千万不要太过夸大其词，要尽量根据自己的情况切合实际。
2、突出个性，巧妙包装。
3、掌握分寸，措词得体。
4、有的放矢。写自荐信应讲究分寸。

5、言简意赅。自荐信的内容控制在两页之内。文字要反复推敲，意思是否表达清楚，用语是否得当，文法及标点力求准确无误。
如果你是应届本科生毕业，那么写推荐信的人应该是任课的教授，一个专业课老师，一个基础课老师。这样，一个在专业上突出你的长处和学习能力，另一个则体现你的基础素质等方面。而对于在职的人来说，写推荐信的人可以是公司的直接上司和有学术专长的教授。
推荐信要突出个人亮点。在推荐信中，并不是把这个人的优点写得面面俱到就是好推荐信，因为这样并没有突出申请者与众不同的亮点。同时，在国外的院校里，他们每天要收到很多封推荐信，有亮点的信自然会吸引人的注意。一封推荐信中有一个主要的闪光点并有具体例子佐证你的优点即可，这样会给招生人员留下较为深刻的印象。
注意事项一
常常有学生把准备好了的推荐信拿来让翻译，写的比个人陈述还长，其实这样完全没有必要。浪费时间还费力不讨好。推荐人只要就学生的特质着重突出两到三点即可。至于其它，一语带过。这样看起来有主有次，轻重分明。
注意事项二
推荐人一般都是请老师来充当。这种情况下，不用太多地提及学生平时是怎么做义工，从几岁开始会弹琴，课下有多么发奋图强争分夺秒地学习等等。因为大学老师基本都比较忙，更有很多是身兼数职的，他们根本没那么多时间去跟一个学生接触，并且去那么全面深入地了解学生。老师就是教课，更多的是从课堂上跟学生交流互动，所以建议从这里入手。一个从教多年的老师，会很快看出一个学生对学习的态度和热情，在那些方面有优势劣势。作为推荐人，所陈述的内容应该是很有针对性地去评价学生的表现，对于学生的优点长处给予热情的肯定并进行推荐，而不是平平淡淡地把学生方方面面都夸一遍。
注意事项三
f.个人成就:在学校、工作或家庭中的特殊表现。如曾经获得某种奖学金、工作中表现优秀等。g.特殊才能:语言、艺术、体育等方面的.特殊能力。
有些推荐人也会是辅导员或者单位领导。对于辅导员，平时会跟学生见面较多，对于学生的生活，学习，心里等方面也比较清楚。那么在推荐时，就可以针对学生的性格，为人，或者学习工作的态度、方法从去说明学生的潜质和能力，从而进行推荐。而作为领导，肯定要从工作表现去说。比如创新，比如勤奋虚心好学等。但同时，也可以对学生在处理人际关系方面进行赞扬。因为毕竟在社会上，除了努力工作以外，与人相处也大有学问的，而出国又意味着要面对世界各国的陌生人。
(3)结论部分。解释为什么申请人的申请计划是适合他本人的，并且说明推荐人认为该申请人在未来会对这个被申请的学校做出什么样的贡献。较后可以再次强调推荐人对推荐该申请者充满信心，为能够推荐他到更好的院校进行深造感到十分自豪，同时表示学校在审核材料的过程中可以随时联系推荐人，不要忘记附上推荐人的联系方式。

推荐信的注意事项：
1． 推荐人的选择：申请本科，班主任推荐是必须的，除了班主任之外，需要提供两位老师的推荐（一个为文科老师，一个为理科老师，一般选择英语和数学老师）。注意问题：如果有实习等经历可以提供实习单位推荐，但是一定要有内容可写的，如果只是认识一些名校的校友之类的就不需要提供了。
2． 推荐信的具体内容注意事项：A. 一定要从老师的角度出发，来考虑这些问题。B. 提供实际的`事例。比如：你上课喜欢问问题，那这种方式是否促进了班级学习的积极性，辅助老师更好地教学增强了学习效率呢？有没有印象特别深刻的问题，体现了学生那方面的能力？课下是如何和老师联系，探讨了哪些问题，让老师感受到了你怎么样的学习态度，学习进展以及学习成果？成绩是班上最好的，除了学术成绩以外，你还有什么特别的优势或者素质呢？作为班上成绩最好的学生，你为老师，为同学，为班集体做了什么贡献，比如以你自己的方式影响了同学，提高了他们的学习积极性或者对课程本身的理解，是通过哪些特殊的事情体现出来的？
3． 老师个人信息的提供：必须提供老师的电话（最好为办公电话）、邮箱（最好是学校官方邮箱），教授的科目、认识多长时间等信息，网申的时候必填的内容。
4． 推荐信的提交：推荐信的提交一般分两种：纸质提交（打印出来，签字，封到封口处签字的信封里，给学校邮寄走）和网上提交（申请表填写老师邮箱，学校给老师发账号和密码，老师网上提交）。越来越多的学校选择后者，所以建议学生提前把这两种跟老师说好，如果是纸质的到时候让老师签字或者咱们代签就行，如果是网上提交，建议让老师到时候把链接账号和密码转发给我们，我们来提交。
